Threadgill has announced that this year's theme is "Be The Reason," a rallying call to encourage everyone to set new benchmarks for academic success. Mrs. Kidd chose "Bee the reason, Someone Learns!"

Good afternoon Panthers! This year, we will be implementing a new method for our carpool arrival and dismissal procedures.

Students who will be picked up through the carpool line will be issued a carpool sign/tag on the first day of school. These signs will be used to help ensure a safe, organized, and efficient dismissal process for our students.

1. Use the Felhorn Entrance: Please enter the campus using the designated Felhorn entrance.

2. Use the Appropriate Carpool Area: There are two designated carpool areas: one for families using designated parking spaces and one for quick pick-up/drop-off. Parents using quick pick-up/drop-off must line up in a single line and remain in that line unless directed otherwise by staff. Follow staff directions for the appropriate area.

3. Remain in Your Vehicle: Remain in your vehicle at all times while in the quick carpool line unless directed otherwise by school staff.

4. Carpool Tags Are Required: Each family whose student is picked up through carpool will receive two tags. Students will only be released to a vehicle displaying the appropriate tag with the student’s name. If someone without the assigned tag must pick up your child, prior approval from Mrs. Kidd is required before dismissal. Additional identification may be required.

5. Display the Carpool Tag Clearly: Place your student’s carpool tag where staff can easily see it. This helps identify students quickly and keeps dismissal moving efficiently.

6. Follow Staff Directions: Remain in the designated carpool line and follow all directions provided by school staff.

7. Wait for Staff Assistance: During dismissal, remain in your vehicle and wait for a staff member to bring your child to the vehicle and assist with loading, as needed.

8. Do Not Walk Up to the Building: For safety, do not walk to the building or remove a student from the dismissal area without first receiving direction from school staff.

9. Drive Slowly and Remain Alert: Drive slowly and remain attentive while on campus. Avoid cell phone use while your vehicle is moving through the carpool area.

10. Do Not Pass Other Vehicles: Do not pass vehicles in the carpool line unless specifically directed to do so by a staff member.

Happy Wednesday! The Augusta Evans team had a wonderful and productive Learning Launch day! We all gained helpful tools, resources, and collaborated with one another to ensure a successful school year for our sweet students! Thank you to Mrs. Kidd for providing treats and brunch from The Breakfast Spot! We all enjoyed it, and we cannot wait to see our students August 10th! Go Panthers!
